Ukrlandfarming Egg Farms Lose Over 5.5 Million Birds Due To War

Direct losses from the destruction by the occupiers of the world’s largest poultry farm Chornobaivka in the Kherson region amounted to about UAH 800 million, the Ukrlandfarming group claims according to "AgroTimes".

The poultry farm was cut off from power supply, and production was completely stopped due to Russian military action. More than 4 million adult hens and some 700,000 young chickens were killed without the possibility of disposal.

The total financial losses from the destruction of chicken egg production currently stand at UAH 1.5 billion, the company said.

The agricultural group's poultry farms at Makariv and the one near Brovary in the Kyiv region also suffered. Those farms lost up to 1 million poultry.

In addition, in the village of Kamyanka, Novopskov district, Luhansk region, the occupiers captured Aidar-An-Meat enterprise, comprised of a farm, a plant and equipment. 

The production facilities of Ovostar Union in the Kyiv region continue to operate.

As reported earlier, the Russian occupiers destroyed the group's poultry farm Ptakhoproduct, but production is being restored.
