The case of Poroshenko on treason is classified, - report
According to the PGO response to the "Ukrainski novyny" request, evidence on the draft suspicion, which was transmitted to the PGO by the State Investigation Bureau, were also classified, informs DS.
The media requested information on whether a decision was made regarding the draft suspicion of Poroshenko, and if not, for what reason.
At the same time, the PGO refused to provide any information, referring to Article 222 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The Prosecutor General's noted that the information on the case is a secret of the investigation and cannot be divulged.
In November, the SIB sent a draft message of suspicion to Poroshenko to the PGO. The document refers to the suspicion of the ex-president of committing criminal offenses under Part 3 of Art. 109 (actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power) and part 2 of article 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code.
On December 10, the State Investigation Bureau opened criminal proceedings regarding possible high treason committed by the fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko when signing the Minsk agreements.
